A pupil of Su Xianzhong, Chen is one of the young generation’s artists looking at breaking away from the traditional style, moving towards subject matters other than the Bodhisattva. His ‘Bonsai’ series is a homage to Su XueJing his master’s great grandfather's 'Plum Blossom' series.
