PETER TING

Hong Kong, China b. 1959

 

Born in HK, now living and working in the UK, Peter Ting is an established tableware designer and his creations are collected in numerous museums globally. His interest in Blanc de Chine led him to visit Dehua in 2004 and created the ‘Buddha Hands’ coffee cups and saucers, which are in the V&A collection, London, UK.

 

In collaboration with with Zha Cai Duan, an accomplished flower maker in Dehua for over twenty years, he has created the Hua series [Hua translates as flower in Chinese]. In 2018 work from this series was acquired by both the V&A, London and Ulster Museum, Belfast.

Work by Peter Ting and Zha Cai Duan will feature in the Victoria and Albert Exhibition, Blanc de Chine – A Continuous Conversation which open in August 2019
